Our spacious Lodges will make an excellent choice for a relaxing  break. The lodges have a magnificent private rural setting. The Lake District and Yorkshire dales are within very easy reach with there many attractions including beautiful Mountains and Lakes and traditional Market towns. Ravenstonedale village is nearby, where you will find two Pubs with exquisite restaurant.

Artlegarth Lodges are very popular with families as well as couples. The tranquil atmosphere, allows your holiday to be as relaxing as you wish.

It goes without saying they are well furnished to a very high standard for your comfort . warm and cosy during the winter months .

Three bedrooms .One King-size with wall mounted Colour TV, one Bunk-room for the children / teenagers  and a one Twin bedded room allowing each lodge to sleep a family of 6  comfortably .A large welcoming  lounge with comfortable three piece suite. 32" LED flat screen  Color Television, ,DVD and music system.

French  doors lead on to the spacious , furnished covered veranda/ deck with incredible views of the surrounding countryside. Artlegarth is bounded by dry stone walls, fringed on one side by a screen of tall pine trees, with private driveway and ample parking.  An ornamental pond frequently visited by Heron and wild ducks .A charming stream flows through the wooded area were red squirrels , Rabbits and owls  can often be seen.

The fells and footpaths that surround Artlegarth lodges are a paradise for walking and cycling, whether your idea of a good walk is a brisk mountain climb or a meander along a gentle valley. Walkers can access the hills direct from the door The area offers unrivalled walking within spectacular landscapes. designated a area of natural  outstanding beauty

Ravenstonedale village 1 mile away :

an historic unspoilt idyllic Cumbrian village The region is an area of outstanding natural beauty with a wealth of activities on hand, Ravenstonedale lies between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District national parks. This situation provides 'the best of both worlds' with the amenities of both areas. At hand walking, golf, riding, fishing, Miles and miles of fell and dales plus gently undulating country lanes await you.

Buzzards, curlews, woodpeckers and the Red-squirrel are but just a few of the species regularly sighted at Artlegarth.

Children Love the Safe open spaces Artlegarth  offers.

The Settle-Carlisle railway, reputedly the most attractive line in the UK, winding its way through some of the finest scenery in Britain, is just 2 miles away from the village. Ravenstonedale is an ideal place from which to explore the line. There is no ticket office at Kirkby Stephen but tickets can be purchased on the train.
