Booking Conditions.
CONTRACT: The contract is between the hirer and the
owners.
PAYMENT: Once a booking is made (normally by phone)
please complete and return the booking form, and send with
the deposit within 3 days of booking. The balance is due at least 8
weeks prior to the holiday date. If the holiday is booked less than 8
weeks in advance, then the full amount should be sent with the booking
form.
INSTRUCTIONS: Full instructions will be forwarded to you on
receipt of the final payment, including directions to the property,
arrangements for obtaining keys, and local contact point in the event of
problems. Contact us immediately if these instructions are not received
within 5 working days of making the final payment.
HIRER'S
RESPONSIBILITIES: The
hirer agrees:
To be
responsible for, and take good care of, the property during the let.
To keep the
lodge clean and tidy and to make good any breakage or damage caused.
To permit the
owners or their representatives to enter at any reasonable time to carry
out needed repairs.
That the number
of persons staying shall not exceed the number stated on the booking form
without the owners' consent prior to arrival.
PETS: MALLARD ONLY Pets are not allowed without prior agreement. There
is a £20.00 per pet, per week surcharge. You are expected to provide
bedding and food bowls for your pet and to keep them
off furniture and
bedding. They should never be left unattended in the property. {No Cats}
CANCELLATION: The hirer should arrange cancellation insurance
if so desired, as the owners do not have cancellation insurance. If a
booking is cancelled in writing the deposit is forfeit. If a booking
is cancelled in writing less than 8 weeks to the holiday, then the deposit
is forfeit and the balance becomes payable. All efforts will be made to
re-let, and if successful any moneys received (less 40%) will be returned.
BOOKING
ALTERATION: The owners
reserve the right to make a £20 per week administration charge for any
booking alterations.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
TIMES: The hirer is
responsible for keeping to the times agreed and shown on the booking form.
NON-AVAILABILITY
OF THE PROPERTY: Should
the property be unavailable on the holiday date (for example, due to
damage by a previous occupant) then all moneys will obviously be refunded
without question. However, no further liability will fall on the
owners/representatives. In no event shall the liability of the owners
exceed the rental paid.
DATA
PROTECTION ACT: Customer
details essential to manage the lets are kept on a computer. We commit to
keep this data secure and never to share it with anyone with the exception
of our local representatives (and they are only told your name and booking
details). You have the right (a) to request that we don't send you
unsolicited information - e.g. on future availability (b) to see any
information we hold – we make a small charge for this.
COMPLAINTS: Please bring these to the attention of the
owners/representatives immediately, in order that they can attempt to
rectify any problems. requests for compensation
will not be considered if the complaint is not made before the end of the
holiday.
LIABILITY: Every effort is made to ensure all aspects of
the property are as advertised. However no liability will be accepted for
items outside our control, e.g. flood, drought, power cuts, nor for injury
or loss on the premises.
A responsibility bond will be required with your balance payment,
this will be returned only if the lodge is vacated cleaned and tidy
as found} free of damage / breakages. { }
Electricity by meter reading {payable at the end of your stay
in cash please}, it is your responsibility to advise us If you depart
before the stated date [we will request cash amount to cover estimated use
of electricity until the owner/agent is able to read the meter. You will
only be charge for the electricity your party as used.
