Mallard Lodge nestles
on the edge of The Howgills, adjacent to the Lake District and
Ideal base for outdoor pursuits, wildlife, castles, market towns and
peaceful villages. Artlegarth lodges provide outstanding quality
& comfort with views from all windows and doors towards the fells and
hills. There is also a private sitting-out area on a part glazed veranda, the ideal
place to relax after a day exploring.
From the moment you drive through the gates, you will be impressed with Mallard Lodge. Located in a most attractive position on our private site of just 3 log cabins. To the rear of the lodge is ample parking for 3 cars and a small brook shaded by tall pine trees. To the front and side are open lawn areas ideal for the kids to play. Magnificent views from every window. The careful positioning of each lodge takes full advantage of the sun and fantastic panoramic views across to Wild Boar Fell and the Howgills. Mallard is very spacious [A true family size lodge] constructed from the finest Pine logs with a local stone base and black slate roof, blending sympathetically into the surroundings.
It is an extremely breathtaking location offering seclusion, peace and outstanding views. {The nearest lodge is over 500 yards away} Excellent for families, fantastic for smaller groups, romantic getaways,
wildlife often seen from the lodge are Wood peckers * Red Squirrels * Rabbits * Herons * Ducks * Owls * Buzzards.
